National Cryptologic Museum Tour & Lunch

  • 8290 Colony Seven Road Annapolis Junction, MD, 20701 United States (map)

Please join Chesapeake Region friends for an informative tour of the National Cryptologic Museum located adjacent to the National Security Agency, Ft. Meade, MD. This unique museum explains the history of government and military code-making and code- breaking shown by several exhibits dating back to the colonial period and Civil War through both World Wars, and the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. Other exhibits include the attack on the USS Liberty, the concealment of electronic devices, Russian shoot- down of a U.S. Air Force reconnaissance plane over Soviet Armenia, and the only working German ENIGMA machine accessible to the public. We will have a guided tour beginning at 10:30. Depending on how many we have, we may be divided into two groups. There will be time afterward to look around on your own and visit the gift shop.
